Well, I finally had my first craft fair. I got there a little bit late because I took the wrong exit. I was very nervous, my hubby help me to set every thing up, I had so many things that I couldn't fit everything on the table. I saw some people very prepared for this event, you could tell they had experience, special hangers, some shelves, etc., I had nothing as you can see in the picture. Two hours into the craft fair and nothing sold. Later I went to get some food by the time I came back my husband sold 1 clutch. A couple of people that were behind me selling beautiful hair pins for little girls ( the girl in the black jacket behind me in the picture) loved my little girl dresses and they bought 5 and that was all. It was a very boring day I think I was lucky. The guy next to me didn't sell anything, he left an hour before was over, some people left 2 hours before was over. People think it was slow because it was a day before Easter, anyway there was some things I learn from this first experience. First: "Prepare", get anything you need to display your items to make them look pretty and make your space efficient. Second: "Talk to people", make friend with other crafters, share business cards help them by liking their "stuff" in facebook, Etsy, or other. I made friends with the girl that was selling the beautiful hair pin and she already shered my facebook page and I gained some followers and I also sheared her page in my facebook. And Third: Have fun, even when this craft fair wasn't what I was expecting, I enjoyed it, met people and got invited to another craft fair.
